Outreach Initiatives

Not only are we a community choir but we're a community supporter.

Donated choir robes

Support for Community Organizations

We donate a significant percentage of the profits from our annual December silent auction to community organizations, such as The Root Social Justice Center, a Vermont-based nonprofit led by People of Color focused on racial justice organizing, community advocacy, and relationship-building.

Anti-racism workshops

We are committed to educating and inspiring both ourselves and the community at large by sponsoring anti-racism workshops, and deepening our understanding of the history of the music we so love to sing.

Support for healthcare workers

We donated our robes to Gowns4Good for healthcare workers to wear as PPE for protection against Covid-19.

Support for the homeless

We have offered several benefit concerts for the Good Samaritan Haven in Barre, and have organized personal care and mitten drives for their homeless shelters.

Fighting food insecurity

For many years we shared a rehearsal space with the Montpelier Food Pantry, with our choir members donating pantry items and money on a weekly basis.
